A published record attests to the documentation held by The Merchant. It cannot, of itself, authenticate the physical package presented, since a printed batch number may be reproduced.
Each batch is examined under the same four-part method, by which declared origin and identity are joined to records of handling and to evidence available for inspection.
Country, district, producer, and harvest period are recorded in detail, so that the asserted origin may be traced to its source.
For a verified batch, independent laboratory evidence records species identity and the material analytical findings; documentation stands in place of assumption.
Available records document peeling, rolling, storage, and transport. Each entry identifies the handling and compliance evidence held for that batch.
Each published batch is assigned its own record, where its status, references, and supporting evidence may be examined.
Together, the four pillars lay identity, origin, handling, and supporting evidence open to inspection. Confidence may begin with an assertion; assurance requires a record.
"Assertion may be imitated. Evidence must be examined."
Your confidence merits clear evidence and a considered response. If the package or batch details differ from the published record, contact us so that we may investigate.
